Luminosity

An Annual Group Glass Exhibition: 2024

Join us in celebrating the return of our annual group glass exhibit, Luminosity, showcasing spectacular creations by numerous glass artists at Stonington Gallery. Northwest Native glass art merges contemporary glass techniques with ancient Indigenous imagery.

Swim among intricately-wrought glass sea creatures by Raven Skyriver; marvel at glass baskets by Preston Singletary and Raya Friday inspired by traditional and exquisitely woven Tlingit and Lummi spruce root and cedar baskets; feel connected to ancient petroglyphs of the Columbia River Plateau in the cast glass faces and spirit figures by Lillian Pitt; and pay homage to the traditional and sustainable fishing practices of the Lummi people with the gorgeous glass Sxwo’le Reefnet Fishing Anchors by Dan Friday. These and much more will be featured among the vibrant glass art, rich in color, vibrancy, and cultural significance—art works that exemplify a unique blend of modern glassblowing and deep-rooted traditions from each artist’s heritage.
