This is in the Octopus Islands (Wiatt Bay, Quadra Island) and home of We Wai Kai Nation. I went swimming one night at sunset. A set of motorboats was anchored opposite us. A bagpiper stepped out on one of the boats and started playing. A few days later, I  got back into cell phone range and found out that my grandmother had passed away the night the bagpiper played. She had lived for 104 summers.
