Sasha LaPointe, acclaimed Coast Salish author and poet, graced our February First Thursday Art Walk for the opening of “Strength & Grace” exhibition involving Terresa White, Paige Pettibon, and Amber Spindel. The largest piece of the show is a captivating waterfront portrait of Sasha, masterfully painted by the talented Paige Pettibon (Confederated Salish, Kootenai, Black) in a jacket gifted to her by her great grandmother. Visitors to the gallery can also discover explore Sasha’s literary works, with copies of her poetry collection “Rose Quartz” and her memoir “Red Paint: The Ancestral Autobiography of a Coast Salish Punk” on display for a limited time.
