August marks one year since we lost our dear friend, the incomparable Sun’aq Aleut artist, Thomas Stream. Stonington Gallery continues to pay tribute to the memory of this wonderful person and the brightness and vibrancy that came through in his artwork at Stonington for over 30 years.
We honor Stream’s memory by featuring some of our favorite prints by the artist as well as the monumental original gouache, Western Tanager. Thomas lives on through his signature pointillist style and swirling Aleut motifs that are full of life and color.
In tandem with Stream’s memorial exhibition, we will feature our latest arrivals in the gallery, including new wood panels by Jason Hunt, panels by Rande Cook, and drums by Allie High.
