In July we present a new body of work by Santa Fe sculptor Hib Sabin, in conjunction with the release of his book “The Other Side of Silence, The Far Side of Time”. This 128-page hardcover book is the first major collection of Sabin’s work, and we are proud to host an exclusive book-signing with Hib Sabin on July 10th.
The title of Sabin’s new exhibit is an excerpt from “Four Quartets” by T.S. Eliot, and Sabin uses it as a jumping-off point from which to explore the liminal spaces between the animal, human and animal/human hybrid characters in his works. Transformation, aging, the passage of energy and life between generations, the physical suffering of war, and the cycle of life are some of the themes explored by works in this exhibition of sculpture, paintings and drawings.
