Isabel Rorick and her son, Robin Rorick, continue the tradition of Haida women weaving baskets and hats, and Haida men painting them. The Roricks are direct descendants of Charles and Isabella Edenshaw, who are known around the world for the painted spruce root collaborations created at the turn of the century. “Yaahl” is the word for ‘raven’ in Masset-dialect Haida.
