Wolf Box
Tribute to Art Thompson/Tsa-qwa-supp
My father gave back to me the land that is always us.
His knowing that I looked to Tsa-qwa-supp
as someone for whom I had great admiration.
My father’s life devoted to baseball.
I took out the biggest loan of my life in crisis.
I worked to build this as fast as I could.
And found on the door, my father so hardworking.
Wolf at the door, I recall my intrigue.
Midnight from the inside Out by Black Crows
Art imitates life now.
I put my dad in the house and walked to the closed road
To see a distant wave of an otter and a raccoon play.
Be simple waves.
I recall the band toured with Jimmy Page
and overlooked his value.
He offered ideas.
Perhaps this box is part of that.
To sit at the bank of levee, no phone, just self.
And thought.
