EXHIBITION:
Stonington Celebrates 45 Years! This piece will be on loan at the Museum of Northwest Art from Oct. 11, 2025 through Jan. 11, 2026. It is still available to purchase, and will be available to be collected after the end of the exhibit.
“The main figure is a killer whale and the humanoid figures represent mist from the blowhole, waves, and swirling water. This is a piece that has personal meaning in that I use our clan crest – a killer whale and seal – to represent myself in celebration, being both in and of the oceans of the cosmos.
I gave it further meaning by using both classical and contemporary formline style. The classical styled killer whale still swims in the currents of the contemporary water people.”
