EXHIBITION:
Roger Purdue: An Introduction, A RetrospectionI visited Alert Bay on Cormorant Island near the mouth of the Nimpkish River: where the returning sockeye salmon were congregating to begin their annual mating migration up the river. They waited until it had rained enough to provide water deep enough to ensure reaching the spawning grounds at the headwater of the Nimpkish.
