EXHIBITION:
Stonington Celebrates 45 Years! This painting flows through the rhythms of the Northwest Coast, capturing the essence of each season with a sense of renewal and optimism. Beginning with summer, a bright yellow fawn stands as a symbol of warmth and energy, its edges softly touched with green to signal the coming spring. In the next circle, a green bunny represents the renewal of spring, accented with hints of red that call forth the glow of autumn. The autumn fox, painted in deep, rich red, is shaded with cool hints of blue, suggesting winter’s quiet approach. Finally, the bear rests in winter’s cool tones, infused with gentle hints of yellow as a promise of summer’s return.
In each of these thoughtful transitions, “Seasons of Hope” conveys not only the natural cycle of change but also the enduring resilience of Native culture. The seasons blend seamlessly, expressing the hope and future woven into the land—a vision shaped by growth, continuity, and harmony with nature.
