The night seems to steal upon us very quietly, suddenly. In Greek mythology, gods with sun chariots drive from east to west to bring about the sun and daytime; others drive across the sky, bringing us nighttime and the moon. The changing of the seasons and the growth of flora and fauna result. Inspired by these myths and with the stealthy silent night flight of owls a constant throughout his work, Sabin has created a piece wherein the owl’s quiet flight happens upon us surprisingly.
