Finding Space- AP

Yahgulanaas was commissioned by Tokyo Design week as the only non-Japanese artist in 2015. A visit to the Adachi Institute of Woodcut Prints had a list of other western artist that were invited to participate in earlier fund raising effort to support training and mentoring of artists wishing to train in one of Japan’s last wood block families. His contribution is “Finding Space,” depicting a traditionally dressed Japanese woman on a train while hemmed in by four Japanese salarymen.
