Alder, Pigments

The dragonfly is thought to transport human souls for the shaman and is also a symbol of transformation. The configuration of this mask is typical of the way the dragonfly is represented in Northwest Coast art. It shows the large eyes, double wings, segmented body and a small human like face between the eyes. The one atypical addition I added is the clasper at the end of the segmented body, which is used during mating.
