Double Eagle
“This print was a collaboration between myself and my late friend Dale Nigel Goble. He created the outer ring of the design, and I created the inner circle with two eagles and a heart. We went over several renditions until getting to the final draft. I created a pencil drawing, which Dale vectorized and added color to. We wanted to create an image to celebrate our friendship, as a symbol to counter the racism which exists in Duncan. The eagles and heart as well as the happy faces symbolize this friendship. We happily reached the agreement to print the design, went on our holidays, but Dale tragically passed away during the holidays and before we went to print the design. After a little time passed, Dale’s estate managers decided to carry forward his art business and print our print posthumously.”
