For hundreds of years, Chilkat dancing blankets have recorded history, clan migration and stories for the Indigenous peoples of the Northwest Coast. “Chilkat Protector” serves as a record of this time. We took care of each other, we survived. We are still weaving.
 
 
This piece will be on display at the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum from May 2023 — April 2024.
