As an Alaskan, after a long dark winter, I look forward to spring. The Chickadee is a hardy bird that is able to adapt to the cold.

Here is some information about this wonderful little bird from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game:
Black-capped chickadees stick around all winter, even as far north as Fairbanks with its frigid 18-hour nights. Stuffing themselves with frozen insects and seeds during the brief daylight, the tiny birds gain 10 percent of their body weight in fat each day and burn it at night.
I identify with the Chickadee’s winter hardiness, but oh, I love the hardy Sitka rose as well!
