For hundreds of years, Chilkat dancing blankets have recorded history, clan migration and stories for the indigenous peoples of the Northwest Coast. “Chilkat Protector” serves as a record of this time. We took care of each other, we survived. We are still weaving.

This piece can still be collected, but it will need to be loaned out to the Smithsonian American Art Museum from May 26th, 2023 — March 31st, 2024 for an exhibition.
