Gerren (Patterson) Peters

Gerren (Patterson) Peters grew up in Vancouver, B.C. and became a part of the Wolf Clan when he was 10 years old. He was raised in both Nuu-chan-nulth and Coast Salish traditions.

Since his early years, Peters was amongst a variety of talented artists like his father Tom Patterson and his father’s close friends Tony Hunt, Jr., Stan Hunt, and Jay Brabant—all of who are like family.

Peters sets himself apart from the traditional art of his ancestors by fusing contemporary colors and composition with traditional Formlines. The modern influence is derived predominantly from North American pop art from artists like Andy Warhol, Brainwash, and Shepard Fairey.

After graduating from the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts in Vancouver, Peters went on to study digital art at Vancouver Film School.

Peters currently resides in Vancouver where he is expanding his work using different mediums.
