The Becker Collection

An Online Exhibit - Collection at Stonington Gallery

We are honored to share a beautiful new collection featuring works by some of the Pacific Northwest Coast’s most renowned Indigenous artists. Now on view at Stonington, this body of work brings together carved and painted paddles, masks, and prints by influential artists such as Susan Point, David R. Boxley, Trevor Hunt, Bill Henderson, Mervyn Child, and Randy Stiglitz.

One of the many rewarding aspects of what we do at Stonington is to connect collectors with gorgeous artwork created by the incredible artists of the Pacific Northwest Coast. Through this we find the opportunity to bring together art and those who are moved by it. Each work embodies the vision of its maker and the vitality of their community and the richness of their heritage. When it is time for one steward to part ways with their collection, it affords others the chance to step forward and become the next steward of these incredible works, to safeguard their meaning and, in time, carry it forward to future generations.

With this new collection, you will find not only beautiful works of art, but the chance to join a living continuum of tradition and creativity—an enduring exchange of admiration and responsibility that ensures these artworks and artists are able to remain vital for generations to come.
