Reconnection: A Group ExhibitionThe common expression of ‘As Above, So Below’ comes from a phrase from a Hermetic Text called ‘Emerald Tablet’ form the 8th or 9th Century. It has been translated to mean that whatever happens in nature is mirrored within us personally. It also references how celestial mechanics effect terrestrial events such as: How the Sun affects the Seasons or How the Moon Influences our Oceans through tides. There are also structural similarities for macrocosms on microcosms.
However, the actual concept of the white raven in the boat above, looking down through the water is the sense of consciousness and is looking below into the dark. The dark sleeping raven represents our subconscious state.
