Masters of Disguise IV: Group Mask Exhibition“Snowy owls hunt during the daylight hours and it is a privilege to witness their flight and hunting prowess. I grew up in the forested lands of Southeast Alaska. Washington, and Oregon. I have lived in Southcentral Alaska for 10 years now and this area has inspired works that reflect not only my Alutiiq heritage but also celebrates the majestic, vast tundra and the spirit animals and birds that live in this region.”
-Allie High, 2017
Ig’it is the Alutiiq word for ‘snowy owl’.
