Diane Douglas-Willard is a Haida artist from Ketchikan, Alaska. She is an instructor in the Totem Heritage Center’s internationally recognized Northwest Coast Native Arts program. Her woven cedar baskets have won both “Best of the Division” and 1st place at the prestigious Santa Fe Indian Market in New Mexico.
Willard was already an accomplished bead artist when she first began basket weaving over 20 years ago. She has studied weaving from Delores Churchill (Haida), Holly Churchill (Haida), Lucy Rainman (Tsimshian), and Chilkat weaving with Dorica Jackson.
